Vision: QoS over Ethernet for metropolitan access networks.  Enable "virtual leased lines" with guaranteed bandwidth using inexpensive Ethernet technology.

Products: Algorithms and tools for network management and control of QoS.  Resulted in a number of patent applications.  Five granted so far:

Outcome: Acquired by Extreme Networks, August 2000

 

TeraBlaze

Co-Founder, CTO. Company incorporated in 2000.  

Vision: Scalable, low-cost switching technology.

Products: Architecture, algorithms, chip designs for switch fabrics; chip for high-density Ethernet switch. A number of patent applications.

Outcome: Acquired by Agere, January 2004.
